• Essential Groom Comprehensive package ideal for keeping fur healthy and addressing undercoat and shedding issues. Includes nail trim, undercoat strip out, primary hair removal, kitty sanitary shave, abdomen shave, limited mat shaving, oral health evaluation, eye cleaning, ear care.
• Lion Shave For cats who are matted or pelted, or for long-haired cats in warmer months. Full-body short lion shave leaving 1/16" fur. Includes nail trim, oral health evaluation, eye cleaning, ear care. Choice of tail style.
• Elder Kitty For cats 15 and older. Customized grooming assessing individual needs. Moves slowly for comfort. Includes nail trim, coat brush-out, oral health evaluation, senior care guidance. May include limited mat shaving, undercoat removal, sanitary shave, ear care.
• Nail Trim Only Quick and convenient nail trimming for 1 or multiple cats.
• Behavior Care In-home behavior care consultations customized to individual situation. Covers food, weight loss, nutrition, anxiety, aggression, litter box issues, clawing, marking, moving, introducing new pets, travel, and more.
• Better Kitty Companions One hour in-home sessions providing insight for cats' mental, emotional, and physical health needs. Covers holding/carrying, medication administration, home setup, brushing, nail trimming, eye/ear/teeth care, elderly cat care, body language understanding.

Frequently asked questions

• HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE APPOINTMENT?

  Clear bathroom floor of debris/loose items and sanitize. Have trash receptacle and 2 clean bath towels ready. For nail trim only, location depends on cat's temperament. Have clean bath towel handy.

• WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT THE APPOINTMENT?

  Depending on home situation and cat's personality, we will determine if grooming is best performed with or without you present in the bathroom.

• DOES MY CAT NEED A BATH?

  Bathing can be extremely stressful to most cats and is often unnecessary. Cats groom themselves and have special cleaning agents in saliva. We prefer professional grooming spray or no-rinse shampoo formulated for cats instead of water baths.

• HOW DO I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

  Call or text (206) 683-1100. If booked online via Vagaro, you can cancel and reschedule there. Less than 24 hours notice may result in 50% fee. Full fee charged for Nail Trim only or if not home at arrival.

• HOW SHOULD I PAY?

  We accept all major credit cards, cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle.

• CAN I ASK FOR SERVICES A LA CARTE?

  The only a la carte service we provide is a nail trim.

• DO YOU PROVIDE MEDICAL SERVICES?

  Medical services are outside our scope, however we may teach better methods to assist your cat with medical needs and share tips for medication administration.

• WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CAT OR HOUSE HAS FLEAS?

  Inform Better Kitty prior to appointment. If fleas are present and not disclosed, $250 Flea Fee will be charged. We apply monthly flea treatment at no additional charge but do not provide flea treatments for purchase.

• DO YOU ADMINISTER SOFT PAWS?

  We occasionally apply Soft Paws only as a tool in a long-term behavior plan. Clients must purchase their own supplies. We recommend name brand Soft Paws or Soft Claws in non-clear colors.

• DO YOU RECOMMEND ANY RESOURCES?
