Dog's Bollocks Mobile Pet Grooming

About

Since I was young and growing up on the farm I've loved animals — both learning about and taking care of them. I am a US Navy Veteran. I began Pet Grooming in 2004 and now have the opportunity to share my love of animals with my clients and pet owners in the Woodbridge, VA area. I pride myself on the high-standard of care and services that I offer.

Frequently asked questions

• WHAT WILL A GROOMING APPOINTMENT REQUIRE?

A safe place to park the mobile grooming van. We come to you!

• WHAT IS AN APPOINTMENT ARRIVAL WINDOW?

As a mobile service accounting for traffic fluctuations in northern VA, we offer 90 minute arrival windows for all appointments. Please be available during the entire window.

• DO YOU DO NAILS ONLY?

Generally no due to high gasoline costs, but we make exceptions for neighborhoods/communities with multiple pets. Minimum 4 pets for neighborhood nails.

• WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MAINTENANCE TRIM AND A DESHEDDING?

Deshedding benefits double coated breeds and removes trapped hair/dirt/dander/oil/bacteria. Maintenance trims keep face, paws, and silhouette neat without full body furcuts.

• WHAT'S YOUR SOONEST AVAILABILITY?

Currently fully booked 2-3 months in advance. Regular clients get groomed every 3-8 weeks. New clients can join the waiting list.

• DO YOU DO ANAL GLAND EXPRESSION?

Yes, anal gland expression is offered as an add-on service when booking grooming packages. Select external-only or internal.

• DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SENIOR PETS?

Yes, many years of senior pet experience. Mobile grooming is less stressful physically and emotionally for senior pets.

• DO YOU GROOM CATS?

Yes, I groom dogs, cats, and have even groomed lizards. Contact with questions about your pet.

• CAN I GET MY PET'S FUR DYED OR DECORATED?

Yes, non-toxic and pet-safe fur dyes, hair bows, hair clips, bandanas, acrylic nail caps available.

• HOW MUCH DOES THE GROOMING COST?

Prices set based on general time windows for single groomer to facilitate online booking. Listed on booking page. Weight categories are approximations; certain pets/breeds may cost more.

• WHY DO THE GROOMS TAKE SO LONG?

Each pet gets individual quality care without rushing, kenneling, or being left alone. Time includes cleaning/sanitizing between clients. Some days operate with groomer and bather.

• CAN MY AGGRESSIVE PET GET GROOMED?

Yes, but inform groomer for safety. Very aggressive pets may require owner presence to help restrain during appointment.

• CAN I REQUEST MY OWN SHAMPOOS OR VETERINARY PRODUCTS BE USED?
