• Why is my appointment scheduled within a 2-hour window?

  Mobile grooming runs on the road, so traffic, weather, and the pace of the appointment before yours all affect arrival time. The 2-hour window gives flexibility to deliver quality service without rushing.

• How far in advance should I book?

  Recurring clients are typically scheduled 4 to 6 weeks in advance. New clients are encouraged to book as soon as possible, since the schedule tends to fill quickly, especially during peak seasons.

• Do you require a deposit?

  A $35.00 deposit is required for new clients, one-time appointments, and non-recurring bookings. The deposit is applied directly toward the cost of service. Established recurring clients may have the deposit requirement waived.

• What areas do you service?

  We serve Miami-Dade County, including Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Coconut Grove, Kendall, Cutler Bay, South Miami Heights, and surrounding communities since 2005, up to the beginning of Doral and Fontainebleau. No travel fee within service area.

• What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

  At least 48 hours notice is required for cancellations or schedule changes. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will result in forfeiture of the $35 deposit. Same-day cancellations or no-shows also result in forfeiture.

• Do you need to use my home's water or electricity?

  No. Each van is fully self-contained with its own generator, inverter, onboard water tank, water heater, and climate control. We arrive completely equipped to groom your pet right in your driveway.

• Can I watch my pet being groomed or stay inside the van?

  You are welcome to look inside through the door or windows at any point. For safety and insurance requirements, only the groomer is permitted inside the van during service. Most pets are calmer when their owner is not in their line of sight.

• Is my pet kept in a cage or crate?

  Never. We are a 100 percent cage-free operation. Your pet receives the groomer's full, undivided attention from start to finish. There is no waiting, no kenneling, and no separation anxiety.

• How long will the appointment take?

  Service times vary based on breed, size, coat condition, and behavior. Most full grooms fall between 1 and 2 hours. We do not rush appointments as rushing compromises quality and pet comfort.

• What products do you use on my pet?

  Every grooming appointment includes Hydra professional shampoos and conditioners — a premium product line trusted by professional groomers worldwide, formulated to clean deeply, condition the coat, and protect the skin.

• How is your pricing determined?

  Pricing is breed-based and aligned with AKC standards, with starting prices reflecting a well-maintained coat. Final price depends on coat type, size, matting, behavior, and time needed. Doodles have their own pricing category.

• Why is mobile grooming priced differently than a salon?

  Mobile grooming is a different service model. You pay for one-on-one care, stress-free environment, no cages, no travel time, premium Hydra products on every pet, and a fully equipped grooming suite at your driveway.

• Why was my groom more expensive than last time?

  Common reasons include time between appointments (longer gaps mean more overgrown/matted coats), coat condition, and pet comfort level on the day. Added services like specialty shampoos, deshedding, dental care, or skin wellness treatments also affect total cost.

• Do you offer multi-pet discounts?

  We do not. Every pet receives the same individual time, care, and attention regardless of whether other pets in the household are being groomed the same day. Pricing reflects actual time and skill required per pet.

• Why is shaving sometimes more expensive than a haircut?

  Shaving a matted or heavily compacted coat takes more time, skill, and caution to avoid skin injury. A $20.00 shave-down fee applies when required. The result is a coat that grows back healthier and more evenly.

• How do you handle matted pets?

  Matting is assessed at the start of the appointment. If dematting is humane and safe, we work through the coat carefully. Dematting fee is $35.00 for first 30 minutes and $1.50 for each additional minute. Severe matting requires shave-down.

• Do mats always need to be shaved out?

  Not always. Light to moderate mats can often be worked out with proper technique, right tools, and time. Severe mats that pull on skin, restrict circulation, or hide sores require shave-down to protect your pet.

• Do you groom all cat breeds?

  Yes. Cat grooming services are open to all breeds, sizes, and coat types. Service may be modified based on individual temperament and coat condition, which is assessed at the start of every appointment.

• My cat has never been groomed before. Is that a problem?

  Not at all. First-time grooming cats require more patience and a slower approach. The groomer will work at your cat's pace and adjust the service as needed. Let us know when booking that it will be your cat's first professional groom.

• Will my cat be around dogs during the appointment?

  No. Your cat will not share the van, the schedule, or the environment with dogs. The appointment is one-on-one from start to finish.

• What if my cat becomes too stressed to finish the groom?

  If your cat becomes overly stressed and it is no longer safe to continue, we will stop the grooming session. Your cat's wellbeing always comes first. We will explain what was completed and discuss next steps.
