Frequently asked questions

• What is mobile dog grooming and how does it work?

Mobile dog grooming brings a fully equipped grooming salon directly to your home. A professional groomer arrives in a self-contained van with water, power, and all grooming tools on board. Your dog is groomed one-on-one in the van, parked in your driveway or in front of your home, no salon visit required.

• How much does mobile dog grooming cost in Reston, VA?

MobileDog's grooming packages start at $130 for smaller dogs and vary based on your dog's size, coat condition, and the service selected. Our Signature Spa Bath, Mini Makeover, and Runway Ready Grooming packages each have their own pricing tiers. Contact us for a personalized quote.

• Is mobile grooming better for anxious or reactive dogs?

Yes, mobile grooming is often recommended for dogs with anxiety. Because your dog is groomed alone in a quiet environment (rather than in a busy salon with other animals), the experience is far less stressful. Many anxious dogs that struggled with traditional grooming thrive with a mobile groomer.

• How do I book a mobile dog grooming appointment in Reston?

You can book directly through our website's contact form or by calling us at (571) 334-6486. We'll ask for your dog's name, breed, weight, and a preferred date and time.

• Do you groom all dog breeds?

Yes, we groom all breeds. Certain breeds with special coat requirements, such as Poodles and Doodles, may incur additional charges due to grooming complexity.

• How often should I get my dog groomed?

Most dogs benefit from professional grooming every 4–8 weeks, depending on their breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Dogs that spend time outdoors in Reston's parks and trails may need more frequent baths to keep their coat clean and healthy.

• Why Is Mobile Dog Grooming More Expensive?

Mobile grooming costs more because it's a luxury, personalized service with higher overhead and greater convenience. We bring the grooming salon to your doorstep, saving you time and stress. Premium products, one-on-one service, all-inclusive pricing, limited appointments, and higher overhead costs contribute to pricing.
