Frequently asked questions
-
What is mobile grooming, and how does it work?
Mobile grooming is a convenient, personalized grooming experience brought right to your doorstep. Pawsh Paws operates out of a fully equipped grooming van that parks outside your home. Your dog is groomed one-on-one in a clean, quiet, and stress-free environment—no waiting cages or busy salons.
-
What's included in your all-inclusive services?
Every service includes: Gentle shampoo & coat-specific conditioner, Blow dry & full brush-out (no cage drying), Nail trimming and grinding, Ear cleaning, Teeth brushing & breath freshening, Moisturizing paw & nose balm, Finishing fragrance & a special accessory
-
How long does a grooming session take?
Most appointments last 1–2 hours, depending on your dog's size, coat type, and behavior. We prioritize your dog's comfort and never rush the process.
-
How do you price your services?
Pawsh Paws uses time-based pricing: $33.75 per 15 minutes, $67.50 per 30 minutes, $135 per hour. There is no minimum appointment fee. Pricing reflects coat condition, size, behavior, and any special needs.
-
Do you groom puppies, seniors, or dogs with health concerns?
Yes — I happily groom seniors and dogs with mild to moderate health concerns, provided they can safely tolerate the grooming process. My priority is your pet's comfort and well-being, so I do not work on dogs who are extremely medically fragile or unable to stand safely.
-
What if my dog is anxious or doesn't like grooming?
We specialize in gentle, one-on-one care. Most nervous dogs do better in our calm, quiet environment. However, for safety reasons, we may stop grooming if your pet becomes aggressive or overly stressed.
-
Do you require vaccinations?
Pawsh Paws only requires that your dog is up to date on their rabies vaccination, in accordance with state law. Proof of rabies vaccination must be provided prior to your first appointment. Other vaccinations are not required but are recommended.
-
How do I book an appointment?
You can request an appointment directly through our website, or reach out via email or phone. First-time clients will need to complete an intake form to be added to our new client waitlist.
-
How often should my dog be groomed?
We recommend every 4–6 weeks to maintain coat health and prevent matting. Regular grooming also helps reduce shedding and keeps your dog looking and feeling great.
-
Do I need to be home during the appointment?
We encourage first-time clients to be home. For regular clients, as long as we have access to your dog and any special instructions, you do not need to be present.
-
Do you offer recurring appointments?
Yes! Clients who pre-book on a 4–6 week schedule receive a 10% loyalty discount through our Client Loyalty Program.
-
What's your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee of up to 50% of the service cost.
-
What happens if my dog has fleas or is severely matted?
Pawsh Paws does not accept dogs with active flea infestations. If fleas are discovered during the appointment, services will be stopped immediately, and the full grooming fee may still apply. For severely matted coats, we may need to shave the coat down for your dog's health and comfort.
-
Will you take pictures of my dog?
With your permission, we may take before/after photos to showcase our work on our website or social media. You'll be asked to consent to this in our client form.
