• Does my pet need to be up to date on his/her vaccinations?

  Yes, you will need to provide a copy of your pet's rabies and distemper vaccination's. And for the protect of your pet I also like to keep on file your Veterinarian's name and phone number.

• How often should my pet be groomed?

  On average dogs should be groomed every 4 to 6 weeks, cats every 6 to 8 weeks. This depends on the owner's ability to do daily brush outs, the pet's breed, coat and how often your dog/cat is outside.

• Does frequent bathing harm my pet's coat?

  No, veterinarians will encourage you to have your pet groomed on a regular basis. High quality natural shampoos and conditioners are used to help relieve dry, itchy skin.

• My cat/dog sheds all the time is there any help for that?

  Yes, de-shedding can be done during and after bathing which helps with the shedding process.

• My cat/dog is really, really matted, what can you do for him?

  Excessive de-matting is painful, time-consuming and costly. It is at Pixie Willows discretion to determine if it is safe for the pet to be de-matted. If not, a shave-down will be completed with an additional fee.

• Blow drying your pet

  Occasionally, pets do not like to have their coats blow dried. Safety comes first. Reasonable effort will be made to dry your pet but they may be returned partially dry or towel dried with no change in price.

• My dog/cat has fleas. How do I get rid of them?

  Bathe the pet in environmentally friendly natural shampoo to eradicate fleas and soothe skin irritations. Use a flea comb to remove dead fleas. Also vacuum rugs, floors, furniture and wash bedding. Spray house with environmentally friendly premise spray.

• What type of products will you use on my pets?

  Premium shampoos and conditioners that are all natural and designed for pets. Options include Oatmeal, Hypo-Allergenic, Tearless, and Mango. If you have a preferred shampoo, it will be used.

• Do you have to be home for you to groom my pet?

  For the first and second time, yes. When all parties feel comfortable, other arrangements can be made for grooming without your presence.

• Can you come to my office to groom my pet?

  Yes, as long as a legal parking space can be found.

• What if a client needs to cancel their pet's appointment?

  Notify at least 24 hours in advance. If less than 24 hours, call (207-831-9128). If you don't call to cancel, a $50.00 fee will be assessed, payable before next appointment.

• What type of payments do you accept?

  Cash, checks, and credit cards (Mastercard and Visa). All grooming fees due at time of services. Returned check fee is $40.00. NSF fee is $50. No VENMO. Uses Clover and Square for payment.

• Is mobile grooming more expensive that shop grooming?

  Yes and no. Mobile grooming saves time and reduces stress. No driving or waiting all day. Pet groomed in 1-2 hours and returns home immediately. Less stress on pet from other animals.

• Do you need to plug into my electric outlet or use my water?

  No, the vehicle is a self-contained unit with warm fresh water and grey water tanks. Has a generator for electricity and is climate controlled with a/c and furnace.

• How do I schedule an appointment?

  Call (207) 831-9128. Phone is available during the day but not answered while grooming. Leave a message with pet breed, town, grooming frequency, name and phone number.
