About

Scooby-Dos came to be when owner Jody Bitzenhofer was a little girl and loved every animal she came across. In 2006 she quit her culinary career to pursue her first love, animals. She enrolled in Nanhall School of Professional Dog grooming in Greensboro and upon graduation in 2007, interned at the school for an additional 6 months. She then bought her first grooming truck and opened Scooby-Dos. She has proudly served this community for over 14 years.

Frequently asked questions

  • Why does mobile grooming cost more than shop grooming?

Mobile grooming offers personalized, one-on-one service with only one dog at a time. It is a premium service designed to reduce stress on your dog and provide convenience and time-saving for you.

  • Why can't you give me an exact price when I first contact you for an appointment?

First appointment is based on hourly rate. Upon arrival, factors like coat condition, length, and dog's behavior are assessed to determine if grooming may take longer and cost more.

  • Can I be in the truck with you when you groom my dog?

Generally not recommended. Your dog will focus on you rather than cooperating with grooming. Grooming should be one-on-one between dog and groomer, though owner may occasionally help calm the dog.

  • How long will the groom take?

On average most grooms take around an hour and half. Work is efficient but not rushed.

  • Do you need to hook-up to my electricity or water?

No. Truck is fully self-contained, climate controlled with heat and air conditioning, hot and cold water, and carries 100 gallons of fresh water.

  • Do I need to be home for my pet's appointment?

For first visit, yes. Going forward, you do not need to be home. Many clients are not home during appointments.
