Our mission at DOGO SALON is to provide quality pet grooming and a calm atmosphere for your pet. Just like humans, pets can have special needs. Our staff is trained to attend to the unique requirements of your pet. We spend the time necessary with each pet to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable visit.

Frequently asked questions

• How often should I get my dog groomed?

  Frequency can vary based on breed, haircut, and lifestyle. We offer weekly, bi-weekly and monthly schedules. Consult with one of our stylists for a recommended grooming regimen.

• At what age can I get my puppy groomed?

  We recommend bringing your puppy to get groomed at about 16 weeks (4 months) old. It is important to get your puppy groomed as soon as possible so they can learn to love the grooming process.

• Do you have a cancellation policy?

  Yes. Salon: $45 per pet if cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. No call/No show is 100% of the booked service. Mobile: $75 per pet if cancelled less than 24 hours in advance or 100% of the booked service within 4 hours of appointment.

• Do I have to pay a deposit to schedule an appointment?

  If you are a new client, inactive client (over 12 months since last service), or previously late or no show/no call, a deposit is required. All deposits are non-refundable. Salon: 100% of booked service. Mobile: $75.

• Why is mobile grooming more than the salon?

  Mobile grooming is a luxury service at your doorstep. It is 100% more convenient and faster than the salon. Your pet gets 1 on 1 attention and zero kennel time.

• Do you need to plug into an outlet or hook up to water?

  No, our van is a completely self-contained unit. We have both warm fresh water and grey water tanks on board. We have a generator or inverter that provides for all electrical needs. The unit is always climate controlled.

• Do you accept all breeds?

  We accept all breeds but do have weight limitations. At this time, we accept haircut breeds under 25lbs and smooth short haired breeds under 35lbs.

• How is the price of grooming determined?

  The main factors are coat condition, coat type, style of haircut, and temperament. Coat types can vary vastly and so can the cost. All quotes are estimates and are subject to change.

• What is a matt?

  A matt or tangle is when the coat becomes tangled with dirt, oils, and dead coat. Some matts can be brushed out whereas most have to be clipped off. We will always choose humanity over vanity.

• How do I prevent my dog from becoming matted?

  Having your pet regularly groomed and at home maintenance is the best way to prevent matting. Brush your pet daily for 10 minutes, schedule bi-weekly or monthly grooming, or choose a shorter length that is easier to maintain.
