Frequently asked questions

• Why is mobile grooming more expensive than at a shop?

Mobile grooming is a luxury, convenience-based service providing individual attention. Unlike store-front salons relying on high volume, mobile grooming is specialized one-on-one service. Dunk'n Dogs is owned by a Certified Master Groomer with decades of experience and continuing education, reflected in pricing.

• How much do you charge?

Dunk'n Dogs charges based on a set hourly rate with one hour minimum per appointment. Final charges depend on time to complete service, not breed. Factors affecting time include coat condition, time between appointments, behavior, health, and age.

• Do you service my area?

Services North & Northwest Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, Apex, and Holly Springs.

• How do I reserve an appointment?

New clients must complete New Client Inquiry form. Existing clients can call/text (919) 995-6801 or email [email protected] to reschedule.

• Can I rebook my pet with the same groomer?

Yes. Groomer discusses recommended schedule based on pet's grooming needs and offers available openings before leaving first appointment.

• Can I meet you somewhere if I live outside your service area?

No. Scheduling requires residential or business address due to arrival window system.

• Why should I commit to a grooming schedule?

Dunk'n Dogs operates on a route system requiring efficient routing and scheduling. Cannot accept dogs on 'as needed' basis due to additional time and sporadic scheduling required.

• Do you groom cats?

  No, not at this time.

• Do I need to be home when you come to groom my pet?

Only required for first appointment. Existing clients can leave key or garage/lockbox code. Pets get walk before being secured inside home.

• Do you use my water or power?

No. Van is 100% self-contained with filtered warm water, inverter for electricity, and separate 60-gallon tank for dirty water.

• Can I stay in your van and watch?

No. Insurance does not cover clients in van during services. Pet safety is taken seriously.
