Hi, I'm Kim- owner of Gypsy Coast Mobile Grooming, proudly serving Elmira, Veneta, and surrounding Oregon communities. My rig is a fully self-sufficient grooming trailer. My love for animals started at a young age growing up on a horse farm, where caring for animals was a part of everyday life. Gypsy Coast is named after my beloved dog, Gypsy, who has been by my side for 12 years and has lived with me from coast to coast. I began my grooming journey in 2023 and have continued growing my skills through hands-on experience, continuing education, and specialized training in senior pet care, pet safety, and low-stress grooming.

Frequently asked questions

• Do you charge a travel fee?

  Travel fees are included in my pricing for most appointments within a 10-mile radius of the Veneta/Elmira area and along my core service routes. For locations outside of this area, an additional travel fee of $3 per mile may apply.

• What areas do you service?

  I primarily serve Veneta, Elmira, and surrounding areas up to a 10 mile radius. Limited appointments may be available outside the core service area, and additional travel fees may apply depending on location.

• How do I book an appointment?

  You can view services, pricing, and available appointments through the online booking page. If you're unsure which service to select or have a large, heavily coated, senior, or special-needs dog, feel free to reach out before booking.

• Do you need access to water or electricity?

  I have a fully self-contained 14-foot grooming trailer, so I don't need access to your water or electricity. The trailer runs off a generator and carries water supply. If you have an accessible hose hookup available for refilling my tank when needed, it is always appreciated!

• How much space do you need to park?

  Because I tow a 14-foot grooming trailer, I need a safe and reasonably level place to park with enough room to maneuver the truck and trailer. If you live on a narrow, busy, steep, or difficult-to-access road, please contact me before booking.

• Do I need to be home during my dogs appointment?

  You will need to be available for your dog's first appointment so we can meet and discuss their grooming needs. For established clients, other arrangements may be possible as long as I can safely access your dog and we have discussed the plan ahead of time.

• What is included in a grooming appointment?

  Services vary depending on the appointment booked, but grooming may include a bath, conditioning treatment, blow dry, brush-out, nail trim and/or buffing, ear cleaning, and haircut or trimming when applicable.

• What if my dog is anxious or nervous about grooming?

  Because I work one-on-one, I can provide a quieter and less distracting environment than a busy grooming salon. I take each dog's comfort and behavior into consideration and adjust the grooming process when possible. However, grooming may be modified or discontinued if it cannot be completed safely.

• Do you groom giant breeds?

  Large and giant breeds are welcome when they can be groomed safely within the size and equipment limitations of the trailer. Dogs over approximately 100 pounds may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me before booking if you have a giant-breed dog.

• What should I do before you arrive?

  Please make sure your dog has had an opportunity to potty before the appointment and is safely secured when I arrive. If parking at your home requires special instructions, gate access, or extra space for the truck and trailer, please let me know ahead of time.

• How does mobile grooming work?

  I come directly to your home with a fully equipped, self-contained 14-foot grooming trailer. Your dog receives private, one-on-one grooming without the noise, kennels, or distractions of a traditional salon.

• What if I need to cancel or reschedule my dog's appointment?

  Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your dog's appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
