We love and respect all living creatures no matter their size, color, or their condition-especially dogs! Our professional pet stylist, Chris, has over 900 hours of formal education in all aspects of pet styling as well as several years of experience grooming pets in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

• How often should I get my dog groomed?

  We recommend getting your dog groomed every 4-6 weeks to maintain optimal condition of coat and skin.

• How often should I give my dog a bath?

  We recommend giving your dog a bath at least once a week with a mild, soap-free shampoo. Giving your dog a bath more than once a week can increase the chance of drying your dog's skin out and lead to itchy skin and possible irritation.

• How often should I get my dogs teeth brushed?

  We recommend getting your dog's teeth brushed as often as possible to avoid plaque buildup and any type of disease of the mouth which can lead to infection and disease of the heart.

• Will my pet ever be left unattended while in the care of Happy Tailwaggerz mobile pet grooming?

  Absolutely not! Your pet will never be left unattended and safety is the number one priority at Happy Tailwaggerz.

• Will my pet be put in a cage?

  We will never put your pet in a cage.

• Does Happy Tailwaggerz mobile pet grooming have to use my electricity and water?

  No, our mobile grooming trailer is equipped with power and warm water. We have one 50-gallon tank for clean water and one 50-gallon tank for dirty water. We never reuse water after bathing each dog.

• Does Happy Tailwaggerz mobile pet grooming come to my house and use my tub?

  Yes, we do come to your house but our pet grooming trailer is equipped with a large stainless steel tub that we use to bathe your pet. This eliminates the need to come inside your home and use your tub.

• Will it be too hot in summer and too cold in the winter time to groom outdoors?

  Nope! We have well insulated walls, warm water, AC, and heat in our mobile grooming trailer. No worries your happy tailwagger will be comfortable and feel right at home.

• How long does the full grooming process take?

  Typically for a full groom it can take anywhere from an hour to two hours depending on the size, coat condition, hair length, and behavior of your dog. For big dogs with a lot of hair, time may be longer than two hours.

• Does Happy Tailwaggerz mobile pet grooming require my dog to be vaccinated?

  Yes, the only vaccination we require is an up to date rabies vaccination.

• How can I tell if my pet is matted?

  You can check your pet for matting by using a long tooth comb and see if the comb can easily comb through the fur, if it doesn't go through easily then most likely your happy tailwagger is matted. We recommend getting your pet de-matted or if the matts are severe we recommend a shave-down full groom.

• Is the grooming and bathing area sanitized?

  Yes, we clean and sanitize the groom area after each groom or bath. We never use bleach to clean and sanitize but instead we use a disinfectant that kills canine influenza, parvo virus, staph, salmonella, E. coli, bordetella bronchiseptica, adenovirus, canine distemper, feline picornavirus, HIV-1, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, Rabies, herpes, pseudorabies, respitory syncytia, streptococcus and more!

• Can I stay and watch my pet get groomed?

  We ask that only the groomer and your pet be in the grooming area during the groom process. The reason for this policy is for safety reasons.

• Can I tip my groomer?

  YES of course! Although it is not necessary, your pet groomer works hard to make your pet look, feel, and smell awesome! Your generosity is very much appreciated!

• Will my pet be given ANYTHING like treats or medicine while in the care of Happy Tailwaggerz?

  No, the only time we will give your dog anything like treats or medicine is if both you and your groomer agree.
