• What are some of the benefits of using a mobile grooming salon?

  Convenience - we come to you with no need for two trips. Pets that are easily stressed or experience separation anxiety do well with mobile grooming. Your pet receives undivided, one-on-one attention without distraction of other animals, and is brought back inside their home once complete.

• Why does mobile grooming cost more than a regular grooming salon?

  Mobile grooming prices are typically $15-20 more than conventional salon prices. This additional fee helps offset mobile expenses such as fuel, vehicle maintenance and mobile grooming insurance. Our prices include delivery of grooming salon services to your doorstep.

• Do I have to be home?

  Normally no, but if this is your first time using It's A Dog's Life we ask that you be there so we can go over your pet's information sheet and policy form, review grooming services, and answer any questions.

• Why is my appointment scheduled within a one to one-and-a-half hour range instead of an exact time?

  The mobile aspect requires us to deal with things outside our control, such as traffic, weather, and prior grooming sessions. We do our best to stay on time and will contact you if unforeseen circumstances occur. We will never rush a grooming session.

• May I inspect the mobile salon or stay with my pet during grooming?

  You are welcome to inspect the mobile salon before grooming. All tools and surfaces are cleaned and sterilized after each use. Staying during grooming is usually not recommended as pets maintain better focus without owner distraction.

• How often should my pet be groomed?

  Dogs are recommended for grooming on four, six, or eight-week intervals. Cats are usually good with a groom every eight to ten weeks depending on breed. We recommend booking your next appointment at the time of services.

• Do you groom cats?

  Yes. We provide cat grooming services as long as your cat is not a danger to itself or the groomer. We can do baths, nail trims and shave downs.

• Do you use special shampoos or conditioners?

  We use only the best all-natural products from Nature's Specialties. We choose the product based specifically on your pet's current needs and coat condition.

• What method of payment is required?

  We accept cash, check, debit, or credit card. Payment is due when services are rendered.
