About

At Lavish Lapdog our priority is you and your pets, which is why we are an exclusively in-home grooming service! This means we bring our years of experience and professional equipment to you and groom your pup in the comfort and safety of their own home. We are quite flexible with our setup and have groomed dogs in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, laundry rooms, and yards - so long as we have a source of warm water and an outlet for our dryer, we can groom there!

Services

  • Full Service Bath Get your pup squeaky clean and feeling refreshed, paying extra attention to unique care needs like hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner for sensitive skin, or extra time for anxious pups.
  • Blow Dry Ensure coat doesn't get matted after bath using portable velocity dryer. Happy Hoodies available for dogs fearful of the dryer.
  • Brush Out, Haircut, and Nail Trim Brush pup with appropriate brush for coat type, haircut, and nail trim or grinding. No extra charge for grinding or trimming - dog's comfort decides.
  • 2-on-1 Grooming Appointments Work on one dog at a time, stress-free and comfortable. Dog can relax in their own home instead of cage. Duo provides extra eyes and hands for safety.

Frequently asked questions

  • Are you mobile groomers? What is mobile grooming?

Mobile grooming is any form of animal grooming or bathing service that comes to your home. The two most common forms are van/trailer mobile grooming, and house call mobile grooming. Advantages include convenience, reduced stress, keeping pup out of cage, and typically faster 1-on-1 service.

  • My dog has separation anxiety. Can I be there with them?

Yes! One of the major advantages of house call mobile grooming is the owner's ability to be present. Nearly half of clients' dogs do better for grooming with their owner present to reassure or hold them.

  • What forms of payment do you take, and should I tip?

We currently accept cash, check, Venmo, and PayPal invoice. Tipping culture for dog grooming is similar to hair stylists - highly appreciated courtesy, but not generally considered a requirement.

  • What kind of mobile grooming is Lavish Lapdog?

Lavish Lapdog is a house call mobile groomer! We do not have a bulky van or trailer. Instead, we bring grooming experience and professional equipment to you. Especially well suited to dogs that struggle in salon environments.

  • If you work in my house... what about all that hair???

We take multiple precautions: large hair catcher for drain, full tub rinse, bring brooms and powerful shop-vac to every appointment. You decide where we work - yard, porch, kitchen sink, or guest bathroom.

  • What animals do you work on?

At this time we only offer grooming for dogs of all sizes - no cats or other animals. All dogs must be up to date on rabies vaccination. We require 48 hour waiting period after recent vaccination before grooming.

  • Who will be coming to my house?

The two ladies shown on this webpage are the whole entire company! Stephany generally answers phones and handles quotes and scheduling. Both Celeste and Stephany arrive together for all grooming appointments. No other employees.

  • Why is mobile grooming more expensive than salon grooming?

Mobile grooming is generally 20-50% more expensive. Factors include convenience, mobile groomers work 1-on-1 with 1-3 dogs per stop and drive between locations, requiring vehicle mileage, gas, and reduced work efficiency factored into price.
