Frequently asked questions
-
Do you work with anxious pets?
Yes, every day. We specialize in helping nervous pets relax with calm, gentle handling. Most anxious dogs surprise their owners with how well they do once the stress of car rides, busy salons, and other animals is removed.
-
Do you still run appointments when it rains, snows, etc?
Yes! We continue running appointments in most weather, rain, wind, cold, or heat. If you'd prefer not to keep your appointment due to weather or if your pet has storm anxiety, please let us know the day before (or sooner) so we can adjust your schedule without a fee.
-
How can I help my dog be less anxious during their appointment?
A walk before we arrive, calm energy, and positive reinforcement (like treats or a peanut butter lick mat) make a big difference. Regularly touching your dog's paws at home also helps.
-
What if my dog wiggles or pulls away during nail trims?
That's normal! Wiggly pets are part of our everyday work. We use gentle, proven techniques to keep them calm and safe.
-
Why do you focus on long-term relationships with pets?
Because pets relax more with familiarity. When they see us every 4 weeks, stress goes down, trust goes up, and nail care becomes easy for everyone.
-
What happens if my dog is too anxious to complete the appointment? Will I still be charged?
Yes, your appointment reserves dedicated, one-on-one time with your technician. If your dog is too stressed for a full trim, we simply shift into a Progress Visit.
-
What is a 'Progress Visit'?
It's a confidence-building visit, no full trim, just a positive experience that sets pets up for future success. Progress visits are for dogs only.
-
What should I do if my dog requires a muzzle?
If your dog needs a muzzle, the best option is one they're already familiar with, practicing at home makes the appointment smoother and far less stressful.
-
What if my pet is aggressive or a bite risk?
Safety comes first. If your dog is a bite risk, they must be muzzled by their owner. If a dog removes the muzzle or becomes unsafe, we may need to stop the appointment.
-
Do you sedate pets?
No. If your vet has sedated your pet, we can trim during that window. We're also comfortable working with pets using calming aids like CBD or chews.
-
Do you offer appointments for multiple pets?
Yes. We handle one pet at a time for safety, but you can absolutely book for multiple pets in the same visit.
-
Can I stay with my pet during the appointment?
Yes, if you feel it helps. Some pets are calmer with their owner nearby, while others do better without, either way, we'll guide you to what works best for your pet.
-
How can I cancel, change, or reschedule my appointment?
To cancel, text us at least the day before. Same-day cancellations or no-shows mean we can't help another pet, so the full fee applies. (405) 433-7212.
-
Where are nail trims performed?
All services are performed outside, such as on your front porch or neutral area. We do not enter homes, backyards, or gated areas.
-
Do you offer monthly appointments?
Yes. Our 4-week recurring appointments keep your pet's nails short, make trims easier over time, and save you from having to rebook each visit. About 98% of our clients are on recurring schedules.
-
Will you send reminders or notify me when you're on the way?
Yes, you'll get a reminder plus a text when we're headed to you.
-
Do you only work with dogs?
No, we also see cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and ferrets.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
Same-day cancellations, no-shows, or pets not ready at arrival are charged the full appointment price. To cancel, please text us at least the day before at (405) 433-7212.
-
Do you accept cash payments?
For mobile services, we accept debit and credit cards only. Cash tips are always welcome. For Pup Up events and our Store Front, cash or card are welcome.
-
Do you offer other grooming services or bathing?
No, we focus exclusively on nail care. Because this is all we do, we're able to keep appointments quick, calm, and stress-free for pets.
