Frequently asked questions
-
How do I request an appointment?
Appointments begin with a personalized quote request. We'll ask for a few details about your dog, including breed, size, coat type, and temperament, so we can make sure we're the right fit and schedule enough time for your dog's needs.
-
How far in advance should I book?
Availability can vary, especially for longer or more specialized appointments. Booking a few weeks in advance is recommended when possible, particularly for new clients or dogs who need extra time.
-
Do you groom more than one dog at a time?
No. All grooming appointments are one-on-one. Your dog is the only dog being groomed during their appointment.
-
What makes your grooming different from a traditional salon?
Our approach is slower, quieter, and more intentional. We work at your dog's pace, offer breaks as needed, and avoid rushed timelines. The focus is on comfort, emotional well-being, and creating a positive experience — not speed or volume.
-
How long does a grooming appointment take?
Appointment length varies based on your dog's size, coat, and comfort level.
-
What if my dog has never been groomed before?
That's okay. First-time grooms are approached gently and patiently, with the goal of building trust. We focus on helping your dog feel safe and supported, even if that means starting small.
-
Is this service only for anxious dogs?
Not at all. While we specialize in dogs who need a calmer, more mindful approach, confident dogs also enjoy the benefits of one-on-one, unhurried grooming. Every appointment is tailored to the individual dog.
-
My dog is anxious — are you a good fit?
Yes. We specialize in dogs who need a calmer, more mindful grooming experience — including anxious, sensitive, or overwhelmed dogs.
-
What happens if my dog becomes too stressed during grooming?
Your dog's emotional well-being always comes first. If your dog becomes overly stressed or unsafe to continue, we may modify the service or stop early. This is never considered a failure — it's about protecting your dog and building trust over time.
-
Do I need to be home during the appointment?
Yes, we ask that a responsible adult be available during the scheduled arrival window unless prior arrangements are made.
-
Where does the grooming van park?
We'll park as close as possible to your home, typically in your driveway or on the street nearby. We'll confirm details with you when we arrive.
-
How does payment work?
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
