• Why should I choose Alameda Mobile Animal Care?

  Our approach is different from other groomers. We provide care where your pet feels safest and most comfortable - in your home, enclosed yard, or garage. As a certified Veterinary Technician, we are watchful for signs of distress, trauma and medical emergencies. Your pet's health and well-being is our priority and is never sacrificed. We come as a team for safety and proper handling. We also have a shop at 1830 Ave. in Alameda.

• Do you provide services to animals that are not dogs or cats?

  We see all types of animals for grooming and tailored-care needs, including pigs, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits, and more. Please contact us to discuss your animal and its specific needs.

• Do I need to provide anything for you to care for my animal?

  Generally, we need a little space for our equipment and to work, water, and sometimes electricity. You would need to provide any medications prescribed by your veterinarian that you want us to administer, as well as information on the medications themselves.

• Which cities do you serve?

  We see clients all around the greater Bay Area, from San Rafael through San Francisco and down to San Jose; from up to Pinole, over to Tracy and down to Fremont; as well as from through Berkeley, Alameda and San Leandro. We charge a travel/gas fee of $5 for every 5 miles away from our base in Alameda.

• How do I make an appointment?

  To request an appointment, please use the 'Book Now' button. If you live outside of East Bay cities (Alameda, Berkeley, Oakland, Hayward, Richmond), please call or email us to book an appointment.

• What if I need to cancel my appointment?

  We understand that emergencies occur and that you may need to cancel your appointment. There is a $50 same-day cancellation fee if you cancel inside of 24 hours.

• What form of payment do you take?

  We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and debit or credit cards (a service charge is added to the total for the cards). Payment is due in person at the time of service. We do not accept checks. New clients are required to pay a $50 deposit at the time of making their first appointment.

• Do you offer any discounts?

  Yes! Discounts are 15% for veterans, seniors, teachers and disabled persons for individual services. We also give a $5 discount for multiple individual services in a visit; however this is not combinable with other packages.

• Are there any other fees I need to know about?

  Depending on your location, we charge for travel including traffic, gas, and bridge tolls. 0-5 miles is a $5 travel fee. 5.1-10 miles is a $10 travel fee, and so on.
