Frequently asked questions

  • Do you need power and water hookups?

Nope! Our mobile pet spa is entirely self-contained and doesn't require us to "plug in" or use your water.

  • Do you groom cats?

Unfortunately, we do not groom cats at this time, though we hope to add that service in the near future!

  • My dog just needs his nails done. Can I make an appointment for that?

We do not make appointments for nail trims only.

  • What shampoo do you use?

We only use high-quality products that are non-toxic and environmentally-friendly. The specific shampoo we use will depend on the needs of your pet at the time of the appointment. Of course you are always welcome to supply your own veterinarian-prescribed shampoo for us to use as well.

  • Do you groom aggressive dogs?

While many nervous dogs feel more relaxed in a mobile environment with fewer distractions and one-on-one attention, we do not groom aggressive dogs and will discontinue services if your pet exhibits signs of aggression and/or stress.

  • My dog is very nervous and has separation anxiety when I'm not there; can I be inside the vehicle while you groom?

You are more than welcome to have a look inside the mobile pet spa prior to service, but for liability reasons, we cannot have you come inside. Most dogs are less anxious during the grooming process when they can't see you or try to get to you.

  • I live in an apartment, do you service apartment complexes?

Absolutely! As long as there is parking and 9' clearance of any overhangs or garage entrances, we're happy to come to your apartment.

  • Why do you shave matted dogs so short?

Mats are very painful for your dog. They become tighter and tighter over time and trap debris, moisture, and bacteria close to the skin. This can lead to poor circulation and bruising, itchy, red, and irritated skin, and open sores or infections. In order to remove mats as safely and painlessly as possible, we have to use a blade short enough to get underneath the mat, between the skin and the coat.

  • Why does it cost more if my dog is matted and must be shaved?

Safely shaving a matted dog requires us to groom more slowly and assess the skin condition underneath as we go, as well as significantly cause more wear and tear on our tools.

  • Is mobile grooming a better option for my pet than going to a brick and mortar salon?

Mobile grooming has many benefits that brick and mortar salons don't. In addition to coming to you, we offer a one-on-one experience and groom your dog straight through without distractions. Your pet will never be kenneled or left alone. Often, this creates an environment that is less stressful and reduces the amount of time your pet spends in a salon.

  • How often should my dog be groomed?

We recommend grooming every 5-8 weeks to meet the needs of most pets. Desired coat length, coat type and at-home maintenance schedule will greatly impact the suggested length of time between professional grooming appointments.

  • Why are breeds of equal size priced differently?

Different breeds have different coat type with different requirements. Our pricing reflects the amount of work needed to achieve your desired results, which is a combination of pet size and time.
